YEAR PLUS
Year Plus enables foreign students to improve their academic performance by re-enrolling in the first year due to the reason of insufficient knowledge of the Slovenian language in which the study process takes place
Application
An international student who wishes to apply for the Year Plus programme indicates this on the enrollment form under the listed consents for the collection and processing of personal data.
Use of the Year Plus Programme
In the first year of study, students primarily complete a Slovenian language course worth at least 6 ECTS credits. In addition, within the curriculum of the enrolled study programme, they must complete other study obligations/courses amounting to at least 30 ECTS credits in total, of which at least 6 ECTS credits must come from the Slovenian language course. Any missing first-year obligations are completed by the student in the following academic year, when they are re-enrolled in the first year of the same study programme.
To participate in the Year Plus programme, the student must notify the Student Affairs Office by submitting an enrollment request through the ŠIS system. Requests are active every summer within the deadline set by the faculty. Students are informed about the activation of requests through official announcements. Once the enrollment form has been prepared, the student receives an email and follows the enrollment instructions.
