Preparatory Courses for Biology Competitions

In 2025, the Department of Biodiversity at University of Primorska Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies (UP FAMNIT) organized, for the first time, an educational programme on pollinators for secondary school students.

The event was intended to deepen students’ knowledge of biology and prepare them for the Biology Competition (ZOTKS) and the Eco Quiz for secondary schools the Eco-School programme.

Through expert lectures and practical activities, participants learned about the diversity of pollinators and their important role in ecosystem functioning and biodiversity conservation.
