CEEPUS
About the CEEPUS Programme
CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) is a regional academic exchange programme that supports Mobility for students and academic staff among higher education institutions in Central and South-Eastern Europe.
The programme brings together universities from the countries located between the Baltic and Black Seas: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
The main objective of CEEPUS is to promote academic Mobility and strengthen cooperation among participating institutions, while encouraging the development of joint study programmes and other collaborative initiatives.
There are two ways to participate in the CEEPUS programme:
CEEPUS Network Mobility
Universities and faculties cooperate within academic networks that enable the exchange of students and staff among member institutions.
Students and staff interested in participating in a Mobility within a network in which their faculty is involved should contact the faculty’s International Office for information on available opportunities.
UP faculties currently participate in the following network:
- BA-1403: Managing Forests for Climate Change
FREEMOVER Mobility
Students and staff may also apply for a CEEPUS Mobility as a Freemover if their faculty is not a member of a relevant CEEPUS network.
In this case, applicants must first obtain acceptance from the host institution and then submit an application for funding through the CEEPUS system.
The CEEPUS programme is coordinated in Slovenia by CMEPIUS, which is responsible for managing available Mobility places and scholarships.
For further information and guidance, please contact the UP FAMNIT International Office.
