Impartial Chess on Partitions

Elwyn Berlekamp introduced a number of combinatorial games, collectively referred to as Impartial Chess, played on rectangular grids. The moves in impartial chess games are inspired by the moves of various chess pieces. We analyze the play of some impartial chess games (Downright, King, Pawn, Knight, Rook, and Queen) on the Young diagrams of particular classes of partitions. This is joint work with Matjaž Krnc and Peter Muršič.
