The Department of Biodiversity at UP FAMNIT, in collaboration with the Society of Conservation Biologists (BIODIVA) and with the support of the CLIMOS project, will take over the organization of the 11th International Symposium on Phlebotomine Sandflies – ISOPS XI.
The event will take place between September 9th and 13th at the Faculty of Tourism Studies of the University of Primorska in Portorož, Slovenia.
The symposium will be dedicated to the latest achievements in the fields of parasitology, microbiology, and medical entomology. ISOPS XI will bring together leading world experts and researchers from the mentioned fields, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, innovations, and experiences that are of great importance for progress in human and veterinary medicine.
ISOPS alternates between Europe, Asia, and one of the countries in South or North America, and it is an exceptional honor for us that Slovenian entomologists have been chosen to organize the 11th symposium. The event, expected to host 200 leading biologists, pharmacists, physicians, and veterinarians from around the world, will contribute to a rich exchange of knowledge and encourage further development in research in the field of medical entomology.
The central location of the symposium will be in Portorož at the Faculty of Tourism Studies. During the event, an excursion to the Škocjan Caves will also be organized, the first monument in Slovenia inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as visits to Ljubljana and Bled.
Organizations can join in co-creating the symposium story through sponsorship partnerships. More information about sponsorship packages is available in the SPONSORSHIP BROCHURE.
Early-bird registrations are available until May 31st. You can register at this link.
