Erasmus+ for students

Erasmus+ for students

About the Erasmus+ Programme

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s flagship programme supporting international cooperation in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport. It aims to enhance the quality of education while promoting inclusion, sustainability, digital transformation, and active citizenship.

Through Erasmus+, students can complete part of their studies or undertake a traineeship abroad. Mobility can take place in a country other than the country where the university is located and other than the student’s country of permanent residence.

Duration of Mobility

  • Erasmus Study Mobility: from 3 to 12 months at each study cycle at UP FAMNIT Partner Institutions.
  • Erasmus+ Traineeship: from 2 to 12 months at each study cycle.
    • Traineeships may be carried out in companies, organisations, research institutions, or other relevant host organisations in EU Member States, as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Türkiye, and North Macedonia.
    • The traineeship must be related to the student’s field of study.

Erasmus+ Programme Opportunities

  • Erasmus+ (KA131): Mobility opportunities within EU Member States, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Türkiye, and North Macedonia.
  • Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) – KA171: Mobility opportunities at Partner Institutions outside the European Union, subject to available funding and approval by the home institution.

Mobility opportunities at Partner Institutions outside the European Union, subject to available funding and approval by the home institution.

Eligibility Requirements

The programme is open to students who:

  • are enrolled in an accredited higher education programme;
