Vsebina projekta / Project content
This postdoctoral research proposal presents an innovative approach to enhancing the efficiency and scalability of blockchain technologies. The primary goal is to develop a blockchain protocol that reduces redundancy in computational processes, addressing significant challenges related to energy consumption and operational inefficiencies found in current systems. The project will incorporate advanced cryptographic methods and a modular, role-based architecture to enable secure and verifiable computations across blockchain networks, with particular applicability to Edge/Fog computing environments.
The research plan includes the use of rigorous cryptographic techniques to provide security and trust without the extensive overhead associated with conventional methods, and empirical testing of the protocols on high-performance computing infrastructure to assess their effectiveness and scalability. The dissemination of the project’s findings will be achieved through publications in respected academic journals, presentations at international conferences, and a targeted research visit to collaborate with leading experts in the field.
Supported by this postdoctoral fellowship, the project seeks not only to advance blockchain research but also to significantly enhance the researcher’s capabilities and academic standing in the field of blockchain technologies.
