Accessibility statement

Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of the UP FAMNIT and is available at: https://www.famnit.upr.si/.

To ensure accessibility requirements, the website provides:

  • a user-friendly and easy-to-navigate interface;
  • readable, logically structured content with simple navigation;
  • content equipped with internal and external links for better connectivity;
  • responsive design (layout adapts to screen resolution);
  • appropriate color contrast between text and background;
  • predictable website behavior;
  • the ability to zoom the page up to 200% (partial compliance with standards);
  • support for multiple heading levels.

We continuously monitor and improve the accessibility of the website. The site https://www.famnit.upr.si/ is partially compliant with the Slovenian Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.

Level of compliance

The website https://www.famnit.upr.si/ is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.

Non-accessible content

Some published content may not fully meet accessibility requirements due to disproportionate burden. Examples include:

  • scanned PDF documents;
  • complex data tables;
  • missing alternative text descriptions for images;
  • content requiring dedicated applications;
  • certain archived materials and content.

In the future, with major system updates, efforts will be made to better adapt content for vulnerable groups.

Statement / Assessment of Disproportionate Burden

The current UP FAMNIT website (https://www.famnit.upr.si/sl/) is not yet fully adapted for vulnerable groups or students with special needs, as the financial and staffing implications would be disproportionate to the benefits for users.

Accessibility is continuously monitored and improved. A full website redesign is in its final phase, with the new website planned to be launched by October 1, 2025. The new site is built on the open-source content management system WordPress and will comply with the standard SIST EN 301 549 V3.2.1.

Due to the exceptions listed below and financial constraints, the current site is not fully compliant with this standard and is only partially accessible to users with disabilities. Examples include:

  • scanned PDF documents;
  • complex data tables;
  • missing alternative text for images;
  • content requiring specific applications;
  • text enlarged to 200% may be partially lost depending on screen resolution and browser size;
  • images, icons, logos, links, iframe elements, and headings may lack accessible labels;
  • some elements are not accessible via keyboard;
  • keyboard focus indicators are not available;
  • some archived materials
