How do I enroll in university?
Applicants submit an electronic application for enrollment with attachments via the eVŠ portal: eVŠ application portal https://portal.evs.gov.si/prijava/. Instructions for the application are available on the portal (available in Slovene).
Where will I study?
Study programs are carried out in Koper. Seven study programs (undergraduate: Conservation Biology, Agronomy/Mediterranean Agriculture, Bioinformatics, Wood Innovation for Sustainability ; master’s: Nature Conservation, Sustainable Built Environment) are also partially conducted at the University Campus Livade and at InnoRenew in Izola.
When will I be able to enroll in university?
Enrollment takes place within deadlines set by the annual admission call. Accepted candidates will receive an email invitation for enrollment with all necessary instructions (username and password for access to the Student Information System – ŠIS, instructions for completing the enrollment form, a list of required documents for enrollment, enrollment deadlines, etc.).
When will the timetable be published?
The timetable is published before the start of lectures and exercises, in the “Timetables” section for each semester. Students are informed about its release in time via announcements from the Office in the “Announcements” section. Students are advised to subscribe to Office notifications so that they receive updates by email. Lectures, seminars, exercises, and other obligations take place from Monday to Friday, usually throughout the whole day.
Where can I get more detailed information about the study content and individual courses?
All undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral study programs have a link to short descriptions of individual courses published in the “Curriculum” (Predmetnik) section.
How do I obtain the status of a student with special needs?
Students submit an application for obtaining the status of a student with special needs to the Student Office. The application must include appropriate supporting documents proving a disability, impairment, or disorder, and should specify which accommodations the student is requesting during their studies. The application is reviewed by the Student Affairs Committee of the University of Primorska.

How do I obtain the status of a student athlete or artist?
The acquisition of student athlete or artist status is regulated by the Rules on the Method of Performing Study Obligations and Conditions for Transfers for Students with Special Status, available in the “Regulations and Forms” section.
How long will I study?
Undergraduate (first-cycle) university study programs last three years and are offered only as full-time studies. Each study program is worth 180 ECTS credits (60 ECTS per academic year).
Can I enroll in full-time studies as an employed person?
Employed applicants can enroll in full-time studies if they believe their work obligations will allow them to regularly attend lectures and exercises for the courses in the chosen study program.
Where will I be able to live during my studies?

When searching for private accommodation, the Student Organization of the University of Primorska (ŠOUP) can help you with the website mojcimer.si. They also provide legal advice and assistance with signing a rental agreement.
What about research work during my studies?
The faculty closely collaborates with the Andrej Marušič Institute, which has three departments: Mathematics and Computer Science, Technology, and Health Research. Students already engage in research at the institute during their studies. This kind of experience later enables better employment opportunities.
How is public transport organized in Koper?
Local public transport in Koper and its surrounding areas (Olmo, Šalara, Žusterna, Semedela, Markovec) is provided by the city bus network. For routes and prices, you can visit the websites of the Municipality of Koper and Arriva.
Several bus companies operate transport across the wider area of the Municipality of Koper (MOK). A full list of services and routes is also available on the MOK website.
Intercity transport between coastal towns is operated by Arriva. Their website provides timetables, price lists, and information about the municipal transport in the Municipality of Piran.
